WARRI IS OPEN TO LOCAL, INTERNATIONAL INVESTORS--- OTUARO

Delta state governor otuaro,

The Acting Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro has explained to the entire world that Warri is open to both local and international investors with great commercial potential and peaceful city for a thriving legal practice.

Deacon Otuaro who stated this on the occasion of the Reunion of Class 2000 of the Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University,Ekpoma, Edo State, hosted at the Jubilee Convention Center and Resorts at Effurun, said that the Government of Delta State would continue to provide the enabling environment for all citizens of the nation to come to Warri which he said was open to businesses.

The acting governor said that the gathering of members of Class 2000 was an assemblage of fertile minds whom he stated had been proven, tested and trusted on many legal fronts ever since their graduation from the Esan land of Ekpoma in Edo State
He said the class included some of the brightest and best legal minds in litigation, property, corporate practice and in the academia, adding that over the years, some of them may have ventured into other fields in and outside the legal circuit to make their marks.

According to acting governor, "The joy of reunion is to find that elusive canopy of conviviality to rub minds. This is a well sought after gathering that should be the envy of other progressive. For us in government, our desire has always been to provide platforms for citizens to unleash their potential and actively join in rebranding our noble values of productive work to underscore our anticipated economic emancipation for every Deltan.
"I believe that with such calibre of seasoned minds, the state and indeed the nation should not be in dire need of round pegs in round holes. You know from our experience at the law faculty and at the law school, that we have been trained to be defenders of justice and upholders of citizen's rights. We all owe this as a worthy plank that under pin our social contract now and always.”
He appealed to them to identify and launch themselves into the affairs of governance by bringing their wealth of experience to bear on government and to see governance as a collective responsibility that required the input of leadership and followership.

He disclosed that since 2015, when Governor Okowa assumed office, a lot of milestones has been recorded in infrastructural upscaling of the state, including human capital development which provided jobs and training of many youth to give them hope for lliving.

Deacon Otuaro appealed to his people to savour the reunion and remain introspective regarding the area they could make a difference in the affairs of government. "I believe this kind of rendezvous will remain one to treasure, sustain and improve as the years go by. I commend your spirit of unity and mutuality" he concluded.

The Chairman, Local Organizing Committee of the group, Mr Tsewo Edema, appreciated members of Class 2000 who came from all over the world to attend the event as he enjoined them to feel free to interact and fellowship with each other while the event lasted, appealing that they should unite the more and build the group better than they had it now.

Mr Tsewo added: "I urge you to also take advantage of the occasion to see areas where your contributions to the growth of the nation can be adequately channeled, as legal minds; I know for a fact that we have a huge stake in nation building. It is the duty imposed on us as ministers in the temple of justice to truly do, defend and promote justice, equity and good conscience.”
"May we not disappoint destiny”, he said, adding, “Many look unto us for solution and we must not shy away one bit, we must remain at the Vanguard of social and intellectual emancipation for the members of the society. This is how our values can be enhanced; we must not be alienated and insulated from the challenges of nation building, which is why we are privileged to be called to the Bar."
